Yesterday we went on an outing to the Cape Town Science Centre in Observatory. We were treated to an interactive lesson on magnets and then the students were able to explore and experiment with various science stations throughout the centre. There was also a short science show about chemical reactions. We were then able to see and learn about the Camera Obscura (there are only 20 in the whole world and South Africa has 4 of them!) The staff each had a go on the Human Gyroscope and all managed at least a minute - except for Debbie who lasted about 10 seconds :). It was an enjoyable and educational experience. |
