PROUDLY MARIST!
Last week I was invited to attend a Marist Conference from the 11 until 13 May. During this time I was able to connect with the leadership staff from Marist schools throughout South Africa. Being part of this Marist community and engaging with Br Jude has been a humbling experience.
Thank you St Joseph's for this wonderful experience. PROUDLY MARIST!

Today in Independent Living Skills we practiced making our beds. Everyone had an opportunity to put on a sheet, pillow case and blanket. We were very glad to hear how many of our friends are making their beds at home!
Toby and Sweetness were very surprised by their baby shower today, and everyone wanted to hold little Femi. Thanks so much to all the parents who sent along gifts, it was much appreciated.
Please keep Erin in prayer as she was taken to hospital this morning after having had a seizure in chapel. Thank you to all our SJMC family for showing such great concern and to the paramedics for all their assistance.
This precious little bundle of joy came to visit us during PE today.
A very special CONGRATULATIONS to Sweetness and Toby on the birth of their little boy! Please don't forget our surprise Baby Shower on Friday during the PE class. All SNU parents are welcome to join. Today we learned about having a conversation over the phone, and the skills necessary to take a message. We talked about greetings, what should go into taking a written message as well as saying "goodbye." The students were able to put these skills to the test in an interactive role-play exercise.
